TDS-suffering Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) lost his mind after DHS agents detained one of his staffers in his Manhattan congressional office last week.
As The New York Post reported, Department of Homeland Security officers (DHS) entered the office on Wednesday. They alleged that Nadler’s staff was “harboring rioters” in a wild confrontation caught on tape.
The footage, which The Gothamist obtained, shows an agent handcuffing a crying female staffer. At the same time, another employee demands a warrant and prevents a second officer from entering a private area of the congressional office.
“I’m a federal officer, we’re here checking on something,” the male agent says to the employee blocking his path.
“We have the right to check. You are harboring rioters in the office,” he added.

The staff member eventually gave in and allowed the officer to walk through the area.
The DHS released the following statement to the New York Post after the footage went viral:
Federal Protective Service officers went to the congressman’s office to conduct a security check after receiving reports. Based on earlier incidents in a nearby facility, FPS officers were concerned about the safety of the federal employees in the office and went to the location to ensure the safety and well-being of those present.
When they arrived, one individual – the woman who was briefly detained – was “verbally confrontational and physically blocked access to the office” after the officers identified themselves and explained why they were there. The officers then detained the individual in the hallway for the purpose of completing the security check.
According to multiple reports , the staffer was released and not charged in the incident.
However, this did not stop Nadler from going on an unhinged tirade against the president.
“President Trump and the Department of Homeland Security are sowing chaos in our communities, using intimidating tactics against both citizens and non-citizens in a reckless and dangerous manner,” he fumed in a statement to Politico.
“If this can happen in a Member of Congress’s office, it can happen to anyone — and it is happening,” he added.
Nadler also went postal in an interview with the New York Times
“The Trump administration is trying to intimidate members of Congress,” Nadler alleged. “They’re behaving like fascists. We have to fight them.”
“We don’t want to be a fascist country.”
