US President Donald Trump has denounced the ‘Russiagate’ investigation into alleged ties between his 2016 campaign and the Kremlin as a “totally undisputed” hoax and “the biggest scandal in American History,” calling for those behind it to face consequences.
His comments come on the heels of newly declassified evidence that appears to show a coordinated effort by senior Obama-era officials – allegedly led by the then president himself – to politicize information dismissed by US intelligence and falsely accuse Trump of colluding with Moscow.
