As the peace process between the US and Russia proceeds at a miraculously fast pace, it arises now that U.S. President Donald J. Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin will speak tomorrow (18) regarding the complex and difficult subject of ending the Ukraine war.
Trump has told reporters that the conversation will delve into the inevitable territorial concessions by Kiev, as well as the control of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
Reuters reported:
“’We want to see if we can bring that war to an end’, Trump told reporters on Air Force One during a flight to the Washington area from Florida. ‘Maybe we can, maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good chance’.”
Associated Press reported:
“’We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I will be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday’, Trump said. ‘A lot of work’s been done over the weekend. We want to see if we can bring that war to an end’.
[…] Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday morning confirmed the plans for the two leaders to speak on Tuesday, but declined to give details, saying that ‘we never get ahead of events’ and ‘the content of conversations between two presidents are not subject to any prior discussion’.”
Sputnik reported:
“’Topics for tomorrow’s Putin-Trump call are being prepared based on current agenda issues,’ Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated.
‘Such conversations can be coordinated very quickly,’ he added commenting on timing of the call.
‘A new conversation between Putin and Trump is an important step that sets the tone for reviving relations between the two states,’ Peskov said”

Trump said, they’re actively talk about dividing territories, power plants and other assets.
Trump will talk with Putin on Tuesday and hopes to announce something positive.
