The alleged shooter at a Catholic school in Minneapolis has been identified as Robin Westman, said to have published a manifesto hours before the crime
The gunman who opened fire on a church at a Catholic school in south Minneapolis on Wednesday has been identified as Robin Westman by The New York Post, citing sources in law enforcement.
The shooting took place during a mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minnesota, killing two people and injuring more than a dozen. Westman reportedly changed his name from Robert to Robin in 2020 and identified himself as a woman.
According to the Post, police are now investigating whether a 20-minute YouTube manifesto published hours before the shooting was connected to Westman. The video has since been deleted.

In the video, a hand slowly turns the pages of a red notebook, which is laid out on top of what appears to be schematic gun diagrams. It also shows multiple weapons, including a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun. Magazines can be seen scrawled with “for the children,” “kill Donald Trump” and “Rip & Tear.”
Parts of the supposed manifesto were written in Cyrillic letters but with English transliteration. In one of the drawings in the notebook adorned with transgender flags, Westman seems to be drawing himself buying ammunition from the devil.

The shooter was not previously known to law enforcement, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara told reporters at a press conference.
