ForbesToday’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Tuesday, March 4th

The week is already flying by. We’re halfway into the work week. It’s Odin’s Day, and that means a day for trickery and deceit. In other words, the best day for solving puzzles. Let’s bang out this NYT Mini Crossword shall we?

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.

Spoilers ahead!

ACROSS

1- Moon stage, like 8-Across or 2-Down — PHASE

6- Comedic actor ___ Baron Cohen — SACHA

7- Change — ALTER

8- See 1-Across — FULL

9- Paper towel layers — PLY

DOWN

1- Educational TV spot, for short — PSA

2- See 1-Across — HALF

3- Misbehave … or malfunction — ACTUP

4- Beachcomber’s keepsake — SHELL

5- How nervous travelers arrive at the airport — EARLY

Sometimes the clues and my brain just don’t jibe. Moon stage made me think of the various phases of the moon, but not the word PHASE, for instance. I spelled SACHA incorrectly, which threw me for a loop. I didn’t consider that nervous airline travelers would arrive EARLY. But eventually I pieced it all together and finished this one in 1:46.

How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
