ForbesToday’s NYT Mini Crossword Clues And Answers For Sunday, June 15thBy Erik Kain

Officially, we still have a few days of spring left, but as far as the weather is concerned, summer has already begun. The solstice is this Friday, but with the sun blazing and temps reaching close to 90 degrees up in the mountains, I’m already praying for monsoon season to come sooner than later. The evenings sure are nice, though! This hot out, I’m going to stay inside with some AC and a puzzle or two to solve. Let’s take a crack at today’s Mini Crossword!

The NYT Mini is a smaller, quicker, more digestible, bite-sized version of the larger and more challenging NYT Crossword, and unlike its larger sibling, it’s free-to-play without a subscription to The New York Times. You can play it on the web or the app, though you’ll need the app to tackle the archive.

Spoilers ahead! Here’s the first letter of each word.

Across

1A. Slow ___ (primate with big eyes) — starts with the first letter L

6A. Title character who says “I’ve often seen a cat without a grin … but a grin without a cat!” — starts with the first letter A

3D. Gets up — starts with the first letter R

4D. Array on a touchscreen — starts with the first letter I

5D. Email status — starts with the first letter S

Spoilers ahead! Here are all the answers.

8A. Something to R.S.V.P. for — EVENT

9A. Word commonly mixed up with “fewer” — LESS

Down

This was a bit of a tricky one. I love primates but I kind of forgot about the slow LORIS and had initially plugged in LEMUR, which actually fit with 1-Down, but absolutely made no sense for 2-Down, which was obviously OLIVE. I eventually scrabbled them all together after a minute and 18 seconds.

How did you do? Let me know on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

If you also play Wordle, I write guides about that as well. You can find those and all my TV guides, reviews and much more here on my blog. Thanks for reading!
