Brigitte Gabriel, ACT For America Founder & Chairman: This is how the Quran is written. The Quran is written in phases. The first phase of the Quran was when the Prophet Muhammad was trying to attract Christians and Jews to accept him. In this stage, he borrowed heavily from the Old Testament. That is why there is a lot of similarity between the Jewish faith and the Islamic faith. Jews pray several times a day, Muslims pray several times a day. Jews wash their hands, Muslims wash their hands. Jews fast, Muslims fast. Muhammad wanted to create a religion that would be acceptable to the Jews.
Since no one in his own city accepted him after twelve years of preaching, he went to Medina and tried to convert the Jews. When they rejected his religion, that is when he turned against them. That is when the new verses of the Quran began, especially as in Surah 9, which speaks of the law of abrogation. This law means that if there is any verse later in the Quran that contradicts an earlier verse, the previous verse is nullified and the last one becomes the law.
After the Jews rejected Muhammad, following the year of the Hijra when he went to Medina, he turned against them and they became his enemies. That is when all the violent verses against Jews and Christians, against the “People of the Book,” began to appear in the Quran. The Jews were called “necis” (impure). That is why, when radical Islamists and moderate Islamists debate, the radicals always win, because the law is on their side.
A Muslim is allowed to lie. He can even place his hand on the Quran and swear to tell the truth, knowing he is lying, and still know that he will be forgiven by Allah because he lies to advance Islam. Thus, when organizations in the United States like the Council on American-Islamic Relations or imams approach churches for “interfaith dialogue”—or rather, when pastors approach the imams, since it never happens the other way around—if the imams lie, pastors take it at face value because they think: “An imam could not lie to me, he is a man of faith, just like me.”
In this way, Islamists have been able to lie, deceive, infiltrate, and dominate in certain places, because they use this “law of lying,” called Taqiyya, the law that allows them to deceive the unbelievers. This is how they took over Europe, how they are taking over Europe now, and how they are beginning to do so in the United States.
