The Brutalist has been a major force this awards season, winning three Golden Globes, including Best Motion Picture – Drama, and four BAFTAs, with Corbet taking Best Director and Brody earning Best Actor. As for its reception, the film has resonated with both critics and audiences alike. On Rotten Tomatoes, it boasts a 94% critics score from 292 reviews and an 80% audience score from over 1,000 reviews.

How To Watch The Brutalist At Home

The Brutalist is currently available to stream on video-on-demand platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, and Fandango At Home. You can purchase the film for $19.99. A rental option is not available at this time.

The film is also expected to be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD sometime in March or early April, according to Variety.

When Is The Brutalist Coming To Streaming On Max?

The Brutalist will also eventually be available to stream Max. In 2023, the film’s production company, A24, signed a deal with Warner Bros. Discovery bringing its movies exclusively to the platform. The Brutalist will likely land on Max three to five months after its theatrical premiere – or sometime between March and May 2025.

A24’ and Max’s theatrical-to-streaming release timelines have fluctuated over the past year, making it difficult to predict a specific release month. For example, A24’s Civil War debuted on Max on September 14, nearly five months after its April 2024 theatrical premiere. Priscilla arrived on Max about four months post-release, while MaXXXine had a faster turnaround, landing on the platform in just three months.
