It’s been a little hard to keep up with the WNBA this past week, thanks to an overwhelming schedule, each team is playing 44 in-season games this year, and a packed slate of matchups (appreciate it, Cathy Engelbert). Add in the temporary injuries that sidelined star players like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, and it’s fair to say the league’s felt a bit bleak. But not all is lost. Earlier this week, the Commissioner’s Cup tipped off, featuring five high-stakes matchups with a $500,000 prize on the line, offering a new incentive for players to show out and show up not only on the court.
Off the court, or rather, right before they step onto it, the tunnel fits have been the most riveting, cohesive, and dare I say, organized part of week 3 in the W’. This week’s standout looks leaned into masculine energy. Not necessarily through the usual suspected notions of masculinity like tailored or oversized suits, but through blown-out silhouettes, utilitarian streetwear, classic workwear, and a healthy rotation of vintage tees.

A soldier, dressed in camouflage, must prepare for battle—and with the Liberty riding a 7–0 undefeated streak, it’s clear Breanna Stewart is winning the war. Dressed head-to-toe in camo, Stewart leans into stealth mode, even if it means braving New York City heat in a full two-piece jumper and cargo pants. She pulled up pre-game in the Brigade Ripstop Camo Mountain Smock and matching pants, letting a chartreuse tote cut through the camo as the undeniable focal point of this fit.

Ah, the lingering influence of the Met Gala still wafts through, even a month later, as zoot suit-inspired pieces and pinstripes continue to reign in the tunnel. And while the look has been done time and time again, pinstripe suits never lose their edge, especially on women. Clark proves the point in an oversized butter-brown suit from Favorite Daughter. She pairs this structured jacket and wide-leg trousers with a baby blue button-down, sharp pointed collars, and an exaggerated matching tie.
Dominique Malonga — Seattle Storm

Dare I say it’s the French connection, or maybe the PSG bias during the World cup, that has me so tied to this look. Though simple, the PSG jersey tied to the back captures the youthful and playful spirit Dominique Malonga brings to the W’. It’s not just a nod to her heritage, but when paired with grey mesh sweatpants, varsity Nike Air Jordan 1 Lows, and a croissant-shaped bag decked out with charms, the fit becomes undeniably French, whether she meant it or not.
Tiffany Hayes — Golden State Valkyries

Masked on the court and masked in the tunnel: it may be the same look, but Tiffany Hayes is making two entirely different statements. Known for her elevated street style, Hayes adds to that legacy in a Shanghai-sourced, full zip-up distressed hoodie, a white printed race car-meets-bomber jacket, oversized grey-washed denim, and crisp white boots. It’s equal parts mystery and intention.
Natasha Cloud — New York Liberty

Natasha Cloud is having her moment this season: She’s on track for a potential All-Star spot, in the running for Defensive Player of the Year, and already crowned Player of the Week. It’s safe to say Cloud is winning at life. But that doesn’t mean she’s switching up her all-cool, super-casual style. Repping her new city, she steps out in a deadstocked black and yellow Bushwick, Brooklyn Athletic Dept. tee from PacSun, Nike joggers, and Jordan 1 Retro High OG SPs. And the wired headphones? That’s Brooklyn cool.
Satou Sabally — Phoenix Mercury

Satou Sabally has been caught in the middle of on- and off-court controversy lately, but there’s nothing controversial or up for debate when it comes to this sheer, woven black halter dress. Paired with Adidas Women’s Handball Spezial sneakers, the look is effortlessly toned down. A slicked-back bun and large silver hoops finish it off with a feminine and clean touch to this otherwise risk-taking dress.
Rickea Jackson — Los Angeles Sparks

According to Rickea Jackson, the Miu Miu underwear-as-outerwear trend never left Los Angeles. Hot pants, or barely-there shorts, are rarely dared, especially not as workwear. But, Jackson pairs them with a matching black leotard and a floor-length trench coat, letting all the attention fall on the fiery red pointed pumps.
