According to Campus Reform, “The United States Air Force Academy in Colorado has removed the “Diversity and Inclusion Studies” minor from its official list of “majors and minors.”
Better late than never but one can wonder what diversity has to do with The Air Force.
“The program was meant to help students “[a]nalyze, synthesize, and apply a broad range of theories of, and methodologies for, the critical study of diversity and inclusion, including how diversity and inclusion change in varied historical and social contexts” according to The Campus Reform website.
Included in these courses no longer taught was a gender studies minor again as of that’s so critical to a good air force. We need a fighting force that’s good at doing its job not one that is woke.
“The group Students for Fair Admissions (SFFA) filed a lawsuit against the Air Force Academy on Dec. 10, alleging that the institution’s consideration of race in its admissions process violates the equal protection principle of the Constitution.”
The good news is due to The Trump effect combined with public outrage against DEI these type of courses and diversity requirements have become less and less.
The country is returning to merit as the main standard and it couldn’t happen soon enough.
One can only hope this trend continues and nonsense like gender studies or race based admission are no longer part of our military and the universities that produce it.
As one official put it to Campus Reform ““The Department of Defense will fully execute and implement all directives outlined in the Executive Orders issued by the President, ensuring that they are carried out with utmost professionalism, efficiency, and in alignment with national security objectives.”
President Trump and his administration are making merit great again.
