Ten people, including one shooter, have been killed in an attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday evening. An additional 11 people were injured and another gunman was arrested, according to Australian media.

A Chanukah by the Sea event was scheduled to take place near a children’s playground from 5pm and had begun when the attack began.

Two police officers were among those shot, ABC News reports.

A suspected improvised explosive device (IED) had been located soon after the shootings started and was dealt with by the bomb squad.

As events unfolded around 9:00PM local time police called it a “developing incident”, urging people to avoid the area.
