Taylor Swift claims three spots on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with Folklore, The Tortured … More

The singer-songwriter has spent the past several years not just dominating the music rankings in the U.S. and abroad, but essentially rewriting what commercial success looks like for a solo artist in the modern age. Even without anything new to push, she still manages a feat that would be monumental for just about any other act.
This week, Swift fills three spots on the Top Album Sales chart, which is no small accomplishment for most acts. In fact, for the majority of stars, that would represent a career-best frame. For Swift, it’s simply another solid week…even a comparatively tame one.
Taylor Swift Fills the Top Album Sales Chart
Swift makes her music heard on the Top Album Sales tally this week. Three of her collections rank among the bestselling titles in the U.S., as two older efforts rebound and one refuses to leave the list entirely.
Folklore, the one that holds on, bolts from No. 39 to No. 26. It only returned to the ranking last week, and now it soars more than 10 spaces north.
Joining Folklore on the tally are both The Tortured Poets Department and 1989 (Taylor’s Version). Swift’s latest full-length, The Tortured Poets Department, makes its comeback at No. 39, while the re-recorded version of her 2014 pop blockbuster settles in at No. 50.
Folklore, The Tortured Poets Department and 1989 (Taylor’s Version)
While Swift’s current performance on the Top Album Sales chart might seem quieter than usual, all three titles are growing in popularity. Folklore sold 3,300 copies in the U.S. during the latest tracking span, up 17% from the previous week (per Luminate). The Tortured Poets Department follows with 2,600 sold, representing a 15% jump. Even 1989 (Taylor’s Version) sees improvement, rising 13.5% to 2,400 copies sold. That’s a healthy increase from the 2,100 it managed just one frame ago.
Taylor Swift Matches Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator
With three entries on the Top Album Sales chart, Swift ties Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator for the most spots held by any act this week. Both of those hip-hop powerhouses also occupy three spaces apiece, meaning the pop and country star isn’t alone, though she is the only one who does so with re-entries and catalog titles.
10 Taylor Swift Albums Chart
In total, 10 different Swift releases appear on at least one Billboard chart this frame. That list includes Lover, Midnights, Reputation, Red (Taylor’s Version), and Evermore, all of which find a home on the Billboard 200. Meanwhile, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and Fearless (Taylor’s Version) continue to find space on the Top Country Albums list.
