BLISSFIELD — Lenawee County sheriff’s deputies arrested two men early Monday after they reportedly had just broken into a gas station convenience store in Blissfield.
Detectives have been investigating multiple break-ins of Lightning Quick Gas & Go locations in the Lenawee County area over the past several months, a news release issued Monday by the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office said. They had the suspects, 48- and 27-year-old men from Oakland County, under surveillance between 11 p.m. Sunday and 3 a.m. Monday and followed them as they stopped at several Lightning Quick locations.
The suspects eventually stopped at the Lightning Quick at 412 E. Adrian St. in Blissfield. They broke in, stole several items and left quickly, the release said.
