A suspect was arrested after a shooting left two people hospitalized in Huntington Beach.

On March 16, Huntington Beach police responded to a shooting near Mandrell Drive and Koledo Lane at around 8:50 p.m.

Arriving officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both transported to local hospitals for treatment and were expected to survive.

The gunman had fled the scene before police arrived.

Investigators later identified the suspected shooter as Raul Bustillos, 27, of Huntington Beach. He was located and taken into custody.

Although the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation, police believe the incident may be gang-related.

“Detectives are actively investigating the possibility of additional suspects who remain outstanding,” police said.
