Mar. 19—The Alabama Department of Transportation will open bids March 28 on three local resurfacing projects scheduled for this summer.
Using Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement grant funding, the state is planning to make improvements to the intersection of Alabama 24 and South Greenway Drive in Trinity.
The state is planning to improve the turn lanes and make signal modification at the Trinity intersection.
The state also has two resurfacing projects on Interstate 65. The first is paving the interstate from Hurricane Creek to 0.62 of a mile south of Alabama 67, including raising the bridge at Parker Road.
The other is paving I-65 from 0.6 of a mile south of Alabama 36 to 1.1 miles south of Interstate 565, including raising the bridge at Upper River Road. Portion of the interstate are in Morgan and Limestone counties.
