With the opening of the Hornell-based location, state police are closing two other long existing troopers barracks in North Hornell and Wayland.

State police said the barracks shuffle is part of an ongoing effort to “enhance public safety, improve operational efficiency, and better serve the communities of Steuben County and surrounding areas.”
