As one of Netflix’s most anticipated releases of 2024, Squid Game returns this week for its second season. Lead star Lee Jung-jae is back in the arena, and his character is determined to bring the deadly game to an end once and for all.

The first season of the South Korean drama introduced the deadly game, but in Season 2, former winner Seong Gi-hun returns three years later with a new mission: to shut it down for good. As Player 456, he must navigate a new set of games—as well as the infamous Red Light, Green Light from Season 1—while confronting the Front Man, the eerie mastermind behind Squid Game.
