Another winter storm hitting the region has led to some North Jersey schools to alter their learning schedule for Wednesday.
The Northern parts of New Jersey might avoid the worst of the storm, which will start Tuesday and continue into the Wednesday morning hours. The National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories for NJ’s southern counties.
In North Jersey, anywhere from an inch to 2-3 inches are in the forecast. Click here for a look at the forecast snow totals. Some southern counties are expected to get between 4-6 inches.
“We are anticipating snowfall this afternoon through tonight across the state, with parts of South Jersey expecting up to six inches. Please be cautious of icy, slippery roads and stay safe!” Gov. Phil Murphy posted on X on Tuesday afternoon.
Murphy has ordered state offices, including motor vehicle, to delay opening on Wednesday until 11 a.m.
Many South and Central Jersey schools have announced delayed openings, while only a handful in the northern part of the state have.
