LIGHT SNOW TODAY
It was a snowy start to the day with light snow moving through New England. For most of us, snowfall amounts ranged from a coating to around 2 inches, but some areas along the North Shore and into southern New Hampshire saw closer to 3-4 inches. Be cautious of some slippery spots, particularly on untreated surfaces.
The snow showers taper this afternoon, but don’t put away your snow boots just yet. Light snow will linger across southeastern Massachusetts into the evening hours. Clouds hold temperatures in the 30s this afternoon.
Overnight, we’ll cool down to the mid 20s. So, bundle up if you’re out late or heading out early tomorrow!
MORE SUNSHINE NEXT WEEK
Sunday is looking brighter, with more sunshine and a seasonable feel to the day. Highs will be in the upper 30s, which should be just enough to start melting some of the snow we’ve seen today. Monday will be a bit warmer, with temperatures rising into the low 40s.
But don’t get too comfortable just yet! Another round of arctic air is on the way for the middle of next week. Expect temperatures to stay below freezing for a few days, feeling like winter!
Stay safe on the roads, and enjoy the sunshine when it arrives tomorrow!
