Sleep Theory (Instagram)Later this spring, Sleep Theory will release its debut album, Afterglow. The set has two singles rising on the Billboard charts this week, as the hard rock outfit proves itself to be one of the most exciting new discoveries in that genre.
The band’s latest focus track “Static” appears on a pair of Billboard rankings this frame. It debuts inside the top 10 on both of them, adding to the group’s collection of wins, which is quickly growing.
This week, “Static” launches highest on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, where it enters at No. 3. The group earns the top start this frame, and one of only two new arrivals. Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” joins Sleep Theory as it kicks off its time on the list of the bestselling hard rock-only cuts throughout the nation at No. 9.
Sleep Theory also manages the loftiest debut on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart, the all-encompassing ranking of the most-consumed tunes in the style in the U.S. On that tally, “Static” breaks in at No. 5.
Just one other tune, “No Loss, No Love” by Spiritbox, also debuts on the ranking this time around. That cut enters at No. 14, just a few spaces above that band’s “Perfect Soul,” which re-enters at No. 19.
As “Static” gets off to an electrifying start, Sleep Theory’s previous release “Stuck in My Head” is gaining ground. That Afterglow single bolts to No. 1 for the first time on the Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, stepping up from fourth place to first.
The same cut also returns to its all-time high of No. 6 on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. It reaches a new best showing on the Rock & Alternative Airplay list at No. 13 this period.
As “Stuck in My Head” becomes a radio smash on two airplay tallies, it debuts on a third radio roster. Sleep Theory’s cut opens at No. 38 on the Alternative Airplay chart, becoming a top 40 win on a third list dedicated to sharing what Americans are listening to when they turn on the radio.
