Two people are in custody as a result of a Thursday afternoon search warrant executed at a residence at 619 Honeytown Road in Wayne County.

The warrant was obtained after a traffic stop was initiated by Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies early Thursday morning, according to a news release issued by Sheriff Timothy Zimmerly.

A 27-year-old Shreve man of 330 Water St. and 23-year-old Wooster man of 1684 Mechanicsburg Road remained in custody Friday on charges of breaking and entering and theft.

A hearing was held Friday morning in Holmes County Common Pleas Court. Additional charges are expected pending review of the investigation by the Holmes County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the news release.

Holmes and Wayne County deputies raided the Honeytown Roiad residence at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Numerous items were recovered from several business break-ins that occurred over the past several months in Holmes and Wayne counties, according to the news release.

Assisting the Sheriff’s Office were Wayne County Sheriff detectives and Holmes County Prosecutor Matt Muzic.

Investigation into the incidents is continuing.
