“Fashion’s Biggest Night Out” is underway in New York City with the Met Gala 2025, an annual fundraising event for the NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The theme of the Met Gala 2025 is celebrating the Costume Institute’s new spring exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, while the dress code is Tailored for You.

“The exhibition — which explores the importance of clothing and style to the formation of Black identities in the Atlantic diaspora — will be arranged by 12 characteristics of Black dandyism,” according to Vogue.

The co-chairs of this year’s Met Gala are two-time Best Actor Oscar nominee Colman Domingo, race car driver Lewis Hamilton, musicians A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams and Vogue fashion icon Anna Wintour.

In addition, NBA great LeBron James is an honorary chair for the Met Gala 2025. James, however, did not attend the event due to a knee injury.
