DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — School administrators are keeping an eye on the incoming arctic blast that is expected to hit the area early next week.
The cold air is expected to enter the region Sunday night, and the area could see some wintry precipitation, including snow, sleet, or freezing rain, sometime between Tuesday morning and Wednesday night.

In preparation for this freezing and possibly snowy weather, Dothan City Schools announced that the administration is monitoring the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and is keeping in contact with the Dothan-Houston County EMA.
“A weather event may occur next week which could impact travel and DCS transportation services. As always, the safety and well-being of students and staff are always top priority,” DCS officials said on Facebook Friday afternoon.
