FilmMagicRosé’s solo career has recently been filled with many major moments, and she’s not done earning new ones. The Blackpink singer has already made history as part of one of the most successful girl groups of all time, and now she’s racking up huge wins on the American radio waves. Rosé’s “Apt.” Remains a Huge Hit
“Apt.” is a non-mover on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week. The track keeps at No. 5, is its highest position yet. Not only is that the all-time peak for the single, but it’s also the best showing for any solo K-pop artist – a musician working on their own usually associated with K-pop – in the history of the tally. In fact, it’s the best placement achieved by any K-pop act, period.
“Apt.” Makes History on Billboard’s Radio Chart
As “Apt.” holds steady this frame, it reaches a milestone that separates it from every other release by a K-pop star that’s ever appeared on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. The song has now spent 21 weeks on the roster, making it the longest-charting tune by a K-pop musical act, solo or group.
Before this week, Rosé’s hit was tied with three other tracks that had all managed 20 weeks: “Cupid” by Fifty Fifty, BTS’s “Dynamite,” and “My Universe,” the latter being a collaboration between BTS and Coldplay.
Blackpink Members Dominate the Adult Pop Airplay Chart
This isn’t just a standout moment for Rosé, it’s a big week for Blackpink as a whole, thanks to the continued success of the individual singers within the band. Three of the four members of the superstar girl group appear on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week, which is quite the feat for the outfit.
Rosé’s “Apt.” leads the pack, holding inside the top five. Lisa trails behind with her track “Born Again,” a collaboration with Doja Cat and Raye.
