Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is preparing to blow a ludicrous amount of money on an Aspen wedding with his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez.
According to Mail Online, the billionaire business mogul has set aside a staggering $600 million for the ‘Winter Wonderland’ themed event, which will take place just after Christmas.
The report states:
A source familiar with the wedding planning revealed to DailyMail.com that guests are set to arrive in Aspen’s top accommodations including the five-star St Regis Hotel after Christmas Day.
Bezos, the second-richest man in the world, is believed to have also booked up private mansions around the affluent town for his guests.
The wedding is set to be a whole weekend of celebrations, insiders say, including a rumored mountain-top ceremony with spectacular ‘winter wonderland’ views.
Among the frivolities is a buyout at Matsuhisa, sources said. It is an upscale sushi restaurant seating a maximum 180 guests. Bezos and Sánchez have been photographed on several dates at its sister restaurant, Nobu, in Malibu, California.
High-end Aspen wedding planners told DailyMail.com that the secrecy around the event, set to be a society highlight of the year, was likely helped by the couple flying in vendors from around the country to put together their dream wedding day with iron-clad non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
Bezos met Sanchez while he was still with his ex-wife Mackenzie Scott. The couple later announced their divorce, with Bezos accusing the National Enquirer newspaper of attempting to blackmail him over evidence of their relationship.
The 60-year-old, who is the world’s second richest man after Elon Musk, recently met with Donald Trump at his Palm Beach resort following his stunning election victory to try and patch up the rocky relationship between the two men.
However, relations between them were already improving after Bezos blocked The Washington Post (which he owns) from endorsing Kamala Harris. He has also since committed $1 million to Trump’s inaugural fund.

In a recent interview, Bezos said he was “actually very optimistic” about the prospects of a Trump presidency.
“I’m actually very optimistic this time around,” Bezos said in a recent interview. “He seems to have a lot of energy around reducing regulation.
“If I can help do that, I’m going to help him. We do have too many regulations in this country.”
