To Real Madrid TV, Vinicius Jr. made statements about his future which have been taken by outlets such as OK Diario as him committing it to the club amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

This week saw a fresh report by AS explaining that Vinicius will be the subject of a total package worth over $1.3 billion to himself and Los Blancos from the host country of the 2034 World Cup’s Pro League.

Head coach Ancelotti was asked about what Vinicius might do ahead of a Champions League league phase meeting with Brest, while his teammate Rodrygo was probed on the same topic after said match in which the number 11 scored a brace to set up a playoffs meeting with Manchester City.

“I understand everything,” Ancelotti said. “[Toni] Kroos left football and many did not understand it, I did. I already said that I saw Vinicius happy and eager to stay here and win titles with Madrid. I think he has preferred glory.”

As for Rodrygo, he remarked that he saw Vinicius as “doing very well”, and being “very focused on Real Madrid”.

“It’s a personal thing and I can’t give him any advice, I don’t know what’s going on. I’m only interested in Vini at Real Madrid and the only advice I can give him is to keep scoring goals with this shirt,” Rodrygo further said.

“I really don’t know what’s going on because [he] doesn’t talk about it and is very focused on Real Madrid, and on continuing to score many goals with this shirt.

“I think he doesn’t think much about that and his focus is on Real Madrid. I see that him and everyone wants to be here for many years”, Rodrygo then concluded.

Now Vinicius seems to have commented on the matter himself in a fashion. In an interview with RMTV to mark scoring 101 goals, he said: “Making history here is something very important for me and for my whole family. Hopefully I can stay here for many more years.”

“It’s something I can’t describe, because only 20 players have scored more than 100 goals and among them is my idol Ronaldo, who has always given me advice on how to improve in front of goal, how to shoot better,” he said about his fellow Brazilian – last name Nazario.

We of course know that an additional idol of Vinicius’ is the Ronaldo whose first name is Cristiano, who the Ballon d’Or runner up said is “is another of the players I have been able to see who has marked an era at this club, and I hope I can follow in his footsteps”.

“Cristiano has scored 451 goals, more than games, and I’ve been able to see almost all of them,” Vinicius signed off.

Back from suspension, Vinicius will try to improve his tally against Espanyol in La Liga on Saturday evening.
