Russian President Vladimir Putin praised President Donald Trump’s leadership and problem-solving abilities after the Nobel Committee once again snubbed the U.S. President for the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize, despite his record-shattering success in bringing peace and stability to conflict zones across the world.
Instead of honoring President Trump, the man who ended eight wars and brokered historic peace deals between long-feuding nations, the Nobel Committee awarded Venezuelan opposition leader María Corina Machado for what they called her “tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela.”
Nobel Committee Chair Jørgen Watne Frydnes gave a dismissive and condescending response when asked why Trump was overlooked:
“In the long history of the Nobel Peace Prize, I think this committee has seen many types of campaign, media attention.
We receive thousands and thousands of letters every year of people wanting to say what, for them, leads to peace.
This committee sits in a room filled with the portraits of all laureates and that room is filled with both courage and integrity. So we base only our decision on the work and the will of Alfred Nobel.”
The White House fired back, accusing the Nobel Committee of “choosing politics over peace.”

President Trump DENIED Nobel Peace Prize Despite Ending EIGHT Wars as Nobel Committee Head Offers an Outrageous Reason for Snub – White House Responds
President Donald Trump received praise from an unlikely source, Russian President Vladimir Putin, after being snubbed yet again by the Nobel Committee.
“[Trump] really doing a lot to resolve such complex crises that have lasted for years and even decades,” Putin said.
He added, “There have been cases where the committee has awarded the Nobel Peace Prize to people who have done nothing for peace. A person comes, good or bad, and (gets it) in a month, in two months, boom. For what? He didn’t do anything at all. In my view, these decisions have done enormous damage to the prestige of this prize.”
