President Trump Names Combat Veteran, Former US Senate Candidate Who Warned of Foreign, Military-Age Males Invading America, As His Undersecretary of US Navy

President Trump has named former US Senate candidate Hung Cao as Under Secretary of the United States Navy.

In 2024, Hung Cao ran for Senate in Virginia, and his campaign video, which told his incredible life story, quickly went viral.

In the powerful video he released during his campaign, the Harvard and MIT grad and combat veteran who bravely served for 25 years in the United States Navy, warns Americans about the dangers of a country coming disturbingly close to becoming a communist nation under the previous Democrat regime.

[Knock, knock, knock] This is a scary sound you hear when you live in a communist country.

[Knock, knock, knock] This is the last sound my parents heard when their fathers were taken away in the middle of the night and they never saw the loved ones again. [Knock, knock, knock] That’s the sound of losing your freedom—the sound of always living in fear. That my family‘s real life story. We escaped from Vietnam just days before Saigon fell to the communists. We were given a new life, in the most generous country on earth. America, saved my life. I graduated from the United States Academy, I earned a master’s in physics, and a fellowship at Harvard and MIT before the Left replaced merit with racial quotas.

I spent my life trying to repay my debt to America— my country—our country—with 25 years of service in Navy special operations, with combat in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia. But now, our country has taken a dark turn.

[Knock, knock, knock] That’s Joe Biden arresting a pro-life activist in front of his family. [Knock, knock, knock]  That’s Joe Biden’s IRS, raiding a gun shop and seizing thousands of records from law-abiding gun owners—our names, our addresses and our Social Security numbers. And now a different sound. That’s the sound of someone breaking into your home or business. The sound of crime destroying our cities and communities. That’s how it all starts. They let criminals back onto our streets. Millions of illegal immigrants pour across the border each year, including military men all over the world. And enough fentanyl to kill every man, woman, and child in this country.

And the Biden family?  Well, that’s how it works in the dictatorship— the rules don’t apply to the rulers. We are losing our country. You know it, but you also know you can’t say it. We’re forced to say that wrong is right. We’re forced to lie. We can’t let that happen.

George Behizy was first to tweet about Trump’s pick for Under Secretary of the US Navy.

General Mike Flynn responded to the tweet by sharing his approval.

“Exceptional and enlightened choice to get our U.S. Navy back up to a fighting and warrior focused force. Winning is the only thing to achieve in war. No place nor any time for 2nd place,” General Flynn said.

President Trump posted a message congratulating Cao and his family on Truth Social. Hung Cao shared his Truth post on X and thanked the President, who wrote:

I am pleased to announce that Hung Cao will be our next United States Under Secretary of the Navy. Hung is the embodiment of the American Dream. As a refugee to our Great Nation, Hung worked tirelessly to make proud the Country that gave his family a home. He went to our amazing United States Naval Academy, and later earned his Master’s Degree in Physics. Hung served in combat as a Special Operations Officer for twenty five years. With Hung’s experience both in combat, and in the Pentagon, he will get the job done. Congratulations

Another individual on X wrote: Great pick! Hung Cao is a patriot with an incredible story of service and resilience. The Navy needs strong leadership, and he’s the right man for the job. Another win for Trump’s administration!
