Pelosi KNIFES Schumer in Blistering Statement For Caving on Spending Bill – Urges Senators to Defy Schumer!

Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) flamed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (NY) for caving on the spending bill and called on Democrat Senators to vote against the stopgap bill.

Pelosi said, “Democrat Senators should listen to the women,” and she urged them to defy Schumer.

“Democratic senators should listen to the women. Appropriations leaders Rosa DeLauro and Patty Murray have eloquently presented the case that we must have a better choice: a four-week funding extension to keep government open and negotiate a bipartisan agreement,” Pelosi said in a remarkable statement.

“America has experienced a Trump shutdown before – but this damaging legislation only makes matters worse. Democrats must not buy into this false choice. We must fight back for a better way. Listen to the women, For The People,” she said.

Pelosi lashed out at President Trump and Elon Musk as she praised House Democrats for voting against the spending bill.

“Donald Trump and Elon Musk have offered the Congress a false choice between a government shutdown or a blank check that makes a devastating assault on the well-being of working families across America. Let’s be clear: neither is a good option for the American people. But this false choice that some are buying instead of fighting is unacceptable. I salute Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his courageous rejection of this false choice, and I am proud of my colleagues in the House Democratic Caucus for their overwhelming vote against this bill.”

Chuck Schumer came under fire on Thursday after he caved and announced he would vote for the House-passed spending bill.

A desperate Schumer on Thursday night called Republicans “bastards” live on air during an interview with MSNBC’s Chris Hayes as he tried to justice his decision to cave.

“The only people they — the only thing they understand is meeting conflict with conflict. So if you look at Doug Ford in Ontario, who banged the table and said, ‘You’re gonna tariff us? I’m gonna tariff you, we’re gonna put a surcharge on electricity,’ — that’s the only thing that gets their attention. The only thing that gets them to back down is meeting conflict with conflict. If you meet conflict with essentially managed retreat or strategic non engagement, then they roll all over you!” MSNBC’s Chris Hayes said to Schumer.

Schumer chimed in: “No, Chris, we are going to conflict with them on everything — on the tax cuts for the billionaires. They’ve become a plutocracy. An oligarchy. On Medicaid, we have plans to conflict them with all of that. If the shutdown occurred we wouldn’t be able to do that because they would fill up both the Senate and the discussion on whether we should cut this and not cut that of things that they want to cut.”

Chuck Schumer called Republicans “bastards” and then tried to ‘apologize.’

“So to have the conflict on the best grounds we have summed up in a sentence that they’re making the middle-class pay for tax cuts for billionaires, It’s much, much better not to be in the middle of a shutdown which could divert people from the number one issue we have against these bastards! – Sorry, these people,” Schumer said.
