A Russian drone strike has hit a nine-storey residential building in Ukraine’s industrial region of Dnipropetrovsk, killing one person and injuring at least three others including a child, authorities said on Saturday.

The military governor of the region, Serhiy Lysak, said in a post on Telegram that some apartments caught fire following the attack in the city of Kamianske.

In a separate incident on Friday evening, the nearby city of Nikopol, located near the front line, came under attack.

A 46-year-old man later died from his injuries, Lysak said in an earlier post on Friday evening.

Air raid sirens were activated across several parts of the country, including the Kiev region, as attacks continued through the night.

Ukraine has been defending itself against a full-scale Russian invasion for over three years.
