US President Donald Trump has said he held a “pretty long” phone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, on Thursday. The call touched upon a number of issues, but did not result in any progress on reaching a ceasefire deal in Ukraine.
During their sixth known phone call this year, the two leaders focused on the implementation of agreements reached by Moscow and Kiev during recent direct talks in Istanbul, according to Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov.
