Workers at the Nasser Hospital in the city of Khan Younis said women and children were among the victims after a building housing displaced people was hit.
The Israeli military said it was investigating the reports.

The footage could not immediately be independently verified.
Palestinian news agency WAFA also reported further casualties from other Israeli attacks across Gaza.
The Gaza war was triggered by the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel led by the Palestinian militant group Hamas, in which around 1,200 people were killed and more than 250 Israelis taken hostage.
Since then, according to the Hamas-controlled health authority, around 51,000 people have been killed in Gaza. An unknown number of those killed are armed fighters; many of them are women and children.
