Authorities have identified the person who allegedly killed a police officer and opened fire on the CDC Headquarters, along with a potential motive behind the attack.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Emory University in Atlanta announced there was an active shooter on their campus near Emory Point Friday afternoon. Rapid gunshots were fired as a total lockdown was issued to the students.

Photos later showed bullet holes at the CDC headquarters. Bullet casings were also found on the sidewalk outside a CVS Pharmacy on Emory University’s campus.

No CDC or CVS employees were reportedly injured. Police did reveal that four CDC workers reported to emergency rooms claiming symptoms of anxiety.

Tragically, however, DeKalb County Police Officer David Rose was killed while responding to the crime scene.

Another civilian was injured and also transported to the hospital.

On Saturday afternoon, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation identified the person responsible for this horrific crime as 30-year-old Patrick Joseph White of Kennesaw, Georgia.

A law enforcement official revealed to The Associated Press that White was turned away by guards when he tried to gain access to Emory’s campus, and then drove to a spot near the CVS pharmacy and started firing.

White was armed with a long gun and three other weapons.

It has also been confirmed that White targeted the CDC building, reportedly because he blamed the COVID-19 shot for making him sick.

A law enforcement official told CNN that he confirmed that several family members of White believed he had an unspecified illness related to the shot. One neighbor of White’s confirmed to FOX 5 Atlanta that the suspect had blamed the COVID shot for getting sick.

White’s father told authorities that not only was his son upset over the COVID shot, he was depressed after his dog died.

Police have yet to confirm whether White took his own life or was killed in a shootout with police. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
