A police officer was reportedly hospitalized after an angry mob threw projectiles

Moroccan football fans clashed with police in London on Thursday night after their team’s 2-0 loss to France in the World Cup quarterfinals.

Officers with shields and batons were deployed to Edgware Road to control the unruly crowd as fans taunted police and threw bottles and other projectiles.

According to The Sun, one officer was injured and taken to the hospital. A video from the scene appears to show police officers attending to a colleague lying on the ground while several ambulances are parked nearby.
