Ninety-six House Democrats on Friday either voted to oppose or voted present when given the opportunity to honor the life and legacy of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
The House voted Friday to honor the life and legacy of Kirk after his assassination; the resolution that passed through Congress’s chamber hailed Kirk as a “courageous American patriot” who sought to “elevate truth.”
Ninety-five Democrats voted in favor of the resolution; however, the party was clearly split on the resolution. Fifty-eight Democrats voted against the resolution and 38 voted present and 22 did not vote at all.
