María Celeste Arrarás returns to the network where she launched her television career.
Veteran journalist and television presenter María Celeste Arrarás returns to Univision to host a new weekly show, Más Fuerte Que Nunca (Stronger than Ever). This marks her comeback not just to Univision after 20 years, but to an on-air role at a broadcast network.
For her new show, Arrarás once again takes center stage as she interviews guests from the entertainment industry, including singers, actors, producers, and content creators, to explore their lives beyond the spotlight, focusing on their personal journeys, challenges, and triumphs. The show aims to provide a platform for sharing stories of resilience and inspiration.
“I’m thrilled to return to the screen, especially with Univision, my first home and the network that helped me grow in the world of journalism and entertainment,” says Arrarás. “Why the title? First, because I feel stronger than ever. And second, because we are going to interview artists, great stars, who have overcome adversity and triumphed after it all, thanks to their discipline, passion, and commitment. They will share their recipe for success and for overcoming the challenges that life brings, challenges that often force us to confront ourselves. It will be something very intimate and personal.”
Omar Fajer, SVP of Non-Scripted Entertainment & Music at TelevisaUnivision says “the show was created in response to the need for a late-night entertainment space to close out the week with a positive message for our audiences.”
Arrarás began her career with Univision in 1986, first working at the network’s local station in Puerto Rico before becoming a key figure on programs such as Noticiero Univision and Primer Impacto. She later made headlines in 2002 when she left her co-host role at Univision’s afternoon news magazine Primer Impacto to join rival Telemundo network, where she anchored her own show, Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste for nearly two decades. Her tenure at Telemundo ended in 2020 when her contract was not renewed.
Más Fuerte Que Nunca, produced by TelevisaUnivision in collaboration with We Love Entertainment, premieres Sunday, March 30, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
