A man on a dirt bike was killed after a collision with a vehicle late Friday along Taylor Boulevard.

The collision happened just after 10:40 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and West Ashland Avenue, on the Beechmont and Hazelwood neighborhood lines, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Early findings show the car, northbound on Taylor Boulevard, was turning left onto Interstate 264 when the dirt bike, which police have called “non-street legal,” was speeding south and hit the car.

After the collision, the man driving the dirt bike was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and was arrested on unrelated charges, according to police. As of Saturday morning, police said there were no charges in relation to the collision.
