Lisa’s “Born Again” debuts on Billboard’s Adult Pop Airplay chart, and she ties Rosé for the most … More
WWD via Getty ImagesIt hasn’t been long since Lisa shared her debut solo album Alter Ego, and she’s certainly not done promoting the set. One of the latest tracks that was chosen as a single continues to reach additional Billboard lists, and “Born Again” is slowly-but-surely becoming a grander and grander radio smash.
With her latest win continuing to catch on, Lisa is gaining among the most successful K-pop artists in American radio history, with her current focus helping her make history this week.
“Born Again” Debuts
Lisa’s recent single “Born Again” launches on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week. The tune opens at No. 40 on the 40-spot tally, which ranks the songs gaining the most traction on Adult Pop/top 40 radio stations across the U.S.
Lisa Repeats Her Past Chart Success
This isn’t Lisa’s first time appearing on the Adult Pop Airplay chart. Earlier this year, she made her solo debut on the ranking with “Moonlit Floor” That cut spent six frames on the list and rose as high as No. 38.
Tying Rosé’s Record
As “Born Again” earns Lisa her second placement on the Adult Pop Airplay list, she reaches an important milestone. With just two entries, she now ties her fellow Blackpink member Rosé for the most appearances among K-pop solo female artists on that specific radio ranking.
Both musicians, interestingly, come from outside of South Korea originally, but they’ve built their careers in K-pop — and have now earned solo success on the American airwaves as well.
Rosé Keeps Charting Too
Rosé is still pushing her own solo output at the same time. She continues to perform well on the same radio tally with both of her own singles, “Apt.” with Bruno Mars and “Toxic Till the End.” Those two remain on the Adult Pop Airplay chart this week, with the former holding on inside the top 10 for yet another frame.
Only Two K-Pop Acts Beat Lisa And Rosé
Lisa and Rosé now sit tied for the most appearances among female soloists from the K-pop world on the Adult Pop Airplay chart — but there are two acts ahead of them. BTS and its breakout solo member Jung Kook have each landed three tracks on the ranking. That means Lisa (and her bandmate) is just one more successful focus track away from matching the all-time leaders among K-pop stars.
“Born Again” Also Rises on the Pop Airplay Chart
“Born Again” is also gaining outside of just the adult pop format. The single climbs to a new high of No. 25 on the Pop Airplay chart this week. The list ranks the songs played most often across all top 40 pop radio stations throughout the U.S., and Lisa’s current focus is only a few spots away from tying her all-time record.
