Linkin Park’s Hybrid Theory climbs on three U.K. charts this week, while From Zero falls following … More
Getty ImagesLast week, From Zero soared on charts around the world. The album, which marked a comeback for the hard rock outfit Linkin Park, surged thanks to the release of a deluxe edition that included several new tunes. Fans rushed to buy and stream the set, and that collective enthusiasm helped push the collection upward. But the honeymoon didn’t last long, and From Zero begins to fall.
In stark contrast, Hybrid Theory, Linkin Park’s first full-length, proves its undying popularity once again. The title appears on three charts in the United Kingdom this week, climbing on all of them as sales seem to be increasing meaningfully.
Hybrid Theory Returns to the Top 10
This week, Hybrid Theory returns to the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, pushing from No. 13 to No. 8. At the same time, it jumps from No. 66 on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Sales tallies to Nos. 59 and 61, respectively.
Linkin Park’s Four Charting Wins
Hybrid Theory is one of four albums by Linkin Park to find space on the U.K. charts this frame, but it’s the only title that appears on more than one ranking and also manages to rise.
Meteora, its follow-up, is also growing in stature. At the moment, Meteora pushes more than 10 spaces on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, landing at No. 27. However, unlike Hybrid Theory, that’s the only list where the two-decade-old effort can currently be found.
From Zero Falls Everywhere
From Zero occupies the most lists across the Atlantic among all of Linkin Park’s current wins, but it’s falling on all of them. The 2024 release, powered by its 2025 expansion, dips most dramatically on the Official Albums chart, declining from No. 23 to No. 89.
It also slips outside the top 40 on the Official Album Downloads chart, but it manages to remain within that competitive region on the Official Albums Sales, Official Physical Albums, and Official Rock & Metal Albums tallies, despite tumbling.
Papercuts Also Loses Ground
Papercuts – Singles Collection 2000 – 2023 can also be found on a pair of rosters – two of the same ones as From Zero, which it followed by only about a year. That compilation of Linkin Park’s most famous smashes steps backward on both the Official Albums chart and the Official Albums Streaming ranking.
