The trailer for the newest season of Drag Race has shown a variety of faces that viewers can expect to judge the contestants as the season progresses. RuPaul, the king of queens, returns with charisma and laughs as the show’s host. To fans’ excitement, “Seduction” singer Michelle Visage, designer Carson Kressley, the hilarious Ross Mathews, and Grammy Award-winning Beyoncé-featured TS Madison will join him on the panel as judges.

Fans are excited to see a new lineup of guest judges for the latest season on MTV, including the likes of the “Woman’s World” singer Katy Perry, the rapper and self-proclaimed “swamp princess” Doechii, Euphoria star and model Hunter Schafer, and many more. Among this lineup of stars, fans have pointed out that one has returned, and they couldn’t be more excited to see him.

Known for styling some of Hollywood’s hottest stars, including Zendaya, Celine Dion, and Megan Thee Stallion, Law Roach makes his second appearance on Drag Race after appearing as a guest judge on season 16. In addition to his undeniable fashion expertise, Law comes equipped with an entertaining quick wit, making him a veteran in reality competition shows. With experience as a judge on Max’s ballroom competition show Legendary, Law Roach is no stranger to delving out critiques to contestants.

Law Roach’s expertise in fashion and genuine passion for improving the queens mirror that of another guest judge who marked the show’s first appearance on VH1, Lady Gaga. Similarly to Law Roach, the “Disease” singer offered a level of authenticity in her critiques on the mainstage and in Untucked that showed she came to the show because she had a deep respect and appreciation for the art of drag and the queens who were partaking in it.

TS Madison, who first appeared as a guest judge, was eventually invited because of how engaging and entertaining she was with her critiques. Over time, her presence on the show has become undeniable, and now, as mentioned earlier, she’s joining RuPaul as a rotating judge alongside Carson and Ross. In a TikTok clip from Gay Times, Law Roach shared that he would love to be a permanent judge on Drag Race, leaving fans to speculate whether he, too, will be made into a rotating judge.

On Drag Race, queens need critiques to succeed, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Whether they’re uplifting in their delivery or constructive in their execution, they help the contestants prepare for coming challenges and improve in comparison to the other competitors. Even queens who have been consistently safe in prior seasons have admitted that they would rather be on the main stage during deliberation so that they can at least know how they’re doing in the competition or if there’s anything that they need to work on.

Fans watch Drag Race because of the queens that compete—that’s no secret. Still, the judges keep the fans coming back for their witty and entertaining critiques, and guest judges are no different. Each season, there are guest judges who stand out and get fans talking about how they hope they return. Now that fans have set their eyes on Law Roach, the possibility of his return in a later season can’t be ruled out.
