Kamala Harris announced Thursday that she will release a book recounting her 2024 campaign for the presidency.

“I believe there is value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what I know it will take to move forward,” the former vice president said in the announcement, posted to X. “In writing this book, one truth kept coming back to me: sometimes, the fight takes a while.”

The announcement comes just one day after Harris announced she would not run for governor in California next year, while still not closing the door on a 2028 run.

“107 Days,” set to release Sept. 23, will highlight how Harris ran the shortest presidential general election campaign in modern history — just over three months — after taking over the ticket from then-President Joe Biden.

“It was intense, high stakes, and deeply personal, for me and for so many of you,” she said in the announcement. “Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days.”

Harris will also go on Stephen Colbert’s “The Late Show” Thursday night in her first interview since leaving office, according to a Harris aide.
