Republican Randy Fine has won his race in Florida’s 6th Congressional district.

Fine, who was endorsed by Donald Trump, is expected to win the seat by a comfortable margin.

While the race was always expected to be a Republican hold, Democrats plowed over $9 million behind their candidate in the hope of riding a wave of anti-Trump backlash.

Those hopes have now been dashed.

President Trump has already commented on his victory on Truth Social.

”RANDY FINE WINS!!!” he wrote.

Fine is filling the seat vacated by former Rep. Mike Waltz, who has since left Congress to work as the White House’s National Security Advisor.

Before running for Congress, Fine was a businessman before joining the Florida House of Representatives and later becoming a State Senator.

National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole also congratulated Fine on his victory.

“Congratulations to Congressman-elect Randy Fine on his victory in Florida’s 6th Congressional District,” O’Toole said.

“As a third-generation Floridian, self-made businessman, and as a State Representative and State Senator, Randy has a proven record of delivering results for his community.”

”No one is better positioned to take up the mantle for Florida families, small business owners, and workers.”
