West Jerusalem is set to take Gaza under full control, US Senator Lindsey Graham has claimed. Israel will establish long-term occupation of the Palestinian enclave, just as the US did in parts of Germany and Japan after World War II, the lawmaker told NBC News on Sunday.
No other solution but occupation will satisfy the Israeli leadership, Graham said. West Jerusalem has come to the conclusion “that they can’t achieve a goal of ending the war with Hamas that would be satisfactory to the safety of Israel,” he added.
