President Donald Trump has claimed that Tehran’s nuclear facilities were “completely and totally obliterated”
Iran’s Fordow nuclear site did not suffer any serious damage in the attack launched by the US, Fars news agency reported on Sunday, citing MP Mohammad Manan Raisi from Qom Province where the facility is located.

Raisi told the agency that “contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged, and most of what was damaged was only on the ground level and can be restored.”
The lawmaker described the effect of the American bombing as “superficial,” stating further that there were no fatalities and no radiation leaks at the site afterward.
Iranian authorities had evacuated the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities ahead of the US strikes, Hasan Abedini, the deputy director of political affairs of the state-run Iranian Broadcasting Corporation (IRIB) claimed on Sunday.
“The enriched uranium reserves had been transferred from the nuclear centers and there are no materials left there that, if targeted, would cause radiation and be harmful to our compatriots,” he stated.

Earlier in the day, Reuters, citing an unnamed high-ranking Iranian official, ran a similar report, claiming that most of the enriched uranium was stashed away at an undisclosed location.
Commenting on the US bombardment, Iran’s Center for the National Nuclear Safety System said that emergency inspections at the targeted sites had found no signs of radioactive contamination or leaks.
The International Atomic Energy Agency also later confirmed that there was no increase in radiation levels at Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement on Sunday accusing the US of launching an “illegal military attack on the peaceful nuclear facilities” in coordination with Israel, and in violation of the UN Charter and international law.
The Americans and Israelis “neither have the power of initiative nor the ability to escape heavy responses” by Iran, the IRGC said, adding that it had already determined where the planes that took part in the attack are stationed.
