2024 turned out to be a huge year for Hozier, who proved he was far from a one-hit wonder. The Irish rocker’s “Too Sweet” stood out as one of the most successful releases in his chosen genre around the world, and as that tune continues to perform well in the U.S., the Grammy nominee earns a new smash on the charts with a tune that many had forgotten about until recently.

Hozier debuts “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” on three Billboard tallies this week. The song is an unlikely win, though, as it’s not new, and it’s not even an original composition.

“Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” is a cover of a single by the same name by the Arctic Monkeys. They turned their take—the original—into a smash when it was new in 2013. The tune peaked at No. 70 on the Hot 100, earning the British rockers a rare placement on the competitive songs ranking. It nearly became a top 10 win in the U.K., where it stalled at No. 11.

Hozier covered the popular single in 2014, sharing his performance as part of the BBC’s Live Lounge series. The track has been picking up steam on the internet in the past several weeks, and now it’s performed well enough to reach the Billboard charts.

“Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” is a top 20 hit on all three rankings it appears on at the moment. The suddenly-popular cut opens highest on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, where it starts at No. 15. The cover comes in two spaces further down on the Hot Rock Songs list. It’s also new to the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs roster, where it opens at No. 20.

Interestingly, Hozier has accrued the fewest hits on the Hot Alternative Songs chart, where “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” launches in the loftiest space among the trio of lists it lands on this frame. He’s now earned 18 placements on that tally.

The globally-adored rock musician has collected at least twice as many appearances on the other two Billboard rankings where “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” debuts. Hozier is up to 38 hits on the Hot Rock Songs ranking, and 47 on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs list.

Hozier doubles his current number of hits on all three of those charts this week as “Do I Wanna Know? (Live At The BBC)” arrives. “Too Sweet” is still present at No. 2 on both the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Alternative Songs tallies this time around. That blockbuster tune is steady at No. 1 on the Hot Rock Songs ranking as well.
