A late winter snow storm covered parts Michigan’s Upper Peninsula Wednesday, with some areas seeing nearly a foot of snow, National Weather Service observers reported Thursday morning.
The winter storm swept northeast through the Midwest, prompting a blizzard warning for Minnesota residents, and a winter storm warning for most of the UP as it moved into Michigan.
As the storm moves out, cooperative observers for the NWS in the Upper Peninsula reported snow totals.
