The Season 1 finale of Guy Ritchie’s hit TV drama MobLand is now streaming. Now that the first season is over, will there be a second season of the global crime series? Read on to learn why all signs point to a Season 2 on Paramount+.

MobLand is executive produced by Ritchie and marks the director’s first TV series for Paramount+. The series follows two conflicting London crime families – the Harrigans and the Stevensons – who are locked in a “kill-or-be-killed battle that threatens to topple empires and ruin lives,” per the synopsis. “Caught in the crossfire is Harry Da Souza (Tom Hardy), the street-smart ‘fixer’ as dangerous as he is handsome, who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide.”

The first season stars Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Geoff Bell, Daniel Betts, Lisa Dwan and Emily Barber.

After 10 thrilling and emotional episode, the Season 1 finale finally premiered on Sunday, June 1. “Kevin takes care of a problem. Tattersall delivers on a promise as Richie prepares for war. Seraphina, reading the room, agrees to a meet and greet. Maeve spills the tea. Jan gets Harry’s attention,” the description for “The Beast in Me” reads.

Without revealing spoilers about what transpired in the shocking episode, keep reading to learn everything there is to know about MobLand Season 2, including its renewal status as of June 1, 2025.

Paramount+ has not yet renewed MobLand for a second season, but a renewal seems likely given the success of Season 1. The premiere broke records as the streamer’s biggest global series launch, drawing 2.2 million viewers worldwide. The first season also holds a 75% Fresh rating and audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Adding to the likelihood of a second season is lead star Tom Hardy’s enthusiasm for continuing the story. When asked about the show’s future, Hardy told The Hollywood Reporter that he hopes to keep going with more seasons.

“The plan is definitely to see more seasons,” he said, noting that the real question is now, “Does it become international?”

He continued, “There are international elements to organized crime, which are touched on in season one and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe. There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kind of commodities through and who polices that and how that fits into a world stage.”

In a video interview with Deadline, producer David Glasser also appeared to confirm that there will be a Season 2 of MobLand, even before an official renewal from the streamer.

“Yes, there will be,” he answered, after Hardy was asked whether there would be a Season 2. Glasser also revealed that the entire creative team and main cast will return for the next installment. “Everybody’s coming back… One big family.” Check out the producer’s comments below.
