A gunman armed with a rifle opened fire inside a high-rise office building in Midtown Manhattan on Monday evening, killing at least four people, including a New York City police officer before fatally shooting himself.
The incident unfolded at around 6:30pm local time inside 345 Park Avenue, a 44-story skyscraper that houses the offices of JP Morgan, KPMG, Deutsche Bank, Blackstone, the NFL, and other major firms. The suspect entered the building carrying what authotities described as a high-capacity M4 rifle.
