Alarming new information has emerged via blockbuster court documents that shed new light on the transgender New York Times employee who was gunned down in California last weekend.
As The Gateway Pundit reported on Monday, 40-year-old Jonathan McKinsey was allegedly killed by his Chinese in-laws in the parking lot of Dublin Sports Grounds in Dublin, California, around 3 p.m. Saturday.
Witnesses revealed that they had seen two masked assailants approach McKinsey, who served as the Times’ head of engineering for game player experience, in the lot before his death.
Then, the shooters, identified as Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen, who are both 77 years of age, took turns blasting bullets into McKinsey.
McKinsey, who transitioned from female to male in 2010, had been married to their daughter, Candice Jang.
Jang alleged that he had struck her six-year-old son in the face with an open hand. She also told investigators that McKinsey had bruised her by grabbing her left arm back in 2018.
Last year, McKinsey was charged with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse by prosecutors in Alameda County. McKinsey pleaded not guilty in both incidents and was released on bail provided that he complete 12 parenting classes.
Now, further details via court records reveal that Jang alleged that McKinsey not only abused both his young children, but also left them with head injuries.
In one instance, McKinsey is said to have struck their six-year-old son “at least four to five times” and verbally attacked him.

Jang claimed he hit their six-year-old son ‘at least four to five times’ and once pushed him so hard that his head hit the hardwood floor and was left with a bump and abrasions, the court filing said.
She claims McKinsey pushed the little boy after believing he was being too rough while playing with his sister, the documents said.
He also hurled verbal abuses at the boy, calling him names such as ‘a*****e’ and ‘jerk,’ Jang said.
Even more shockingly, Jang said that McKinsey not only threatened to kill her and her parents, but also gave their children a book regarding a mother’s death.
“Jonathan dismisses my concern about a book he provided to the children concerning the death of a mother. He omits the context that makes the conduct frightening to me. Jonathan has previously threatened to kill me and my parents,” she alleged in the documents.
More court documents obtained by the California Post also suggest a potential motive or tipping point for McKinsey’s murder.
The documents reveal that Chen accused McKinsey of inspiring her grandson to wear his sister’s dresses.
Chen then allegedly uttered a series of homophobic remarks and supposedly struck the child in the back of his head.

Chen noticed McKinsey’s son Wyatt had begun asking to wear his sister Alexis’ dresses, a “phase” he was going through, McKinsey said, according to the records.
She then began allegedly berating him for the behavior, calling the young child a “disgusting queer” and a “pervert.” Chen also allegedly hit McKinsey’s young son in the back of the head when he asked.
When McKinsey begged her to stop, Chen turned her ire to the New York Times employee, who was transgender and transitioned from female to male in 2010, according to the documents.
She then called McKinsey the same names, the restraining order alleged.
