Police and firefighters responded to reports of a rooftop fire at a building under construction in downtown Toronto, Canada just after 6pm Friday.
“Information received that items are possibly exploding and debris may be falling onto the street below,” Toronto Police Operations Centre wrote in a post on X, warning residents to “use caution travelling in the area.”
The incident near Richmond Street West and John Street prompted road closures and pedestrian restrictions in the area, as emergency personnel rushed to the scene.
